Black Diamond Rodeo - June 6th & 7th, 2025
The Black Diamond Rodeo is a beloved Carbon County tradition—so deeply rooted in our community that its exact origins have been lost to time. With a history tracing all the way back to the 1950s, this rodeo has long been a symbol of local pride, western heritage, and the resilient spirit of rural Utah.
After nearly a 10-year hiatus, the Black Diamond Rodeo is back and better than ever—revived by passionate volunteers, local leaders, and the dedicated staff of the Carbon County Events & Recreation Complex. Together, we’re proud to breathe new life into this historic event, bringing the excitement of PRCA-sanctioned rodeo back to the heart of Price.
From bronc busting and barrel racing to bull riding and roping, the Black Diamond Rodeo brings professional rodeo action to the same fairgrounds that once echoed with cheers decades ago. As part of the PRCA Wilderness Circuit, this event draws top-tier talent and showcases the best of western sportsmanship and skill.
But more than that—it’s a community celebration, built on hometown pride, grit, and the traditions passed down through generations.
The Black Diamond Rodeo is proudly organized by a grassroots coalition of volunteers, Carbon County, and Carbon Events & Recreation Complex staff. Their tireless dedication makes this event possible—from the chutes to the concessions, from ticketing to teardown.
